Plot
Warning: spoilers
Boules, the French game similar to Italian bocce, is played with steel balls on a packed-earth court, mostly in southern France. Though it appears bucolic and genteel, the competition and betting are intense. In this sports/crime thriller, a young man whose father was killed for violating the game's unspoken rules in professional competition trains with his grandfather to become a champion boules player like his father.
