Ryan and Justin are best friends whose careers have stalled, a fact made clear at their college reunion. After showing up dressed as police officers for what they thought was a costume party, they find the uniforms command respect and attention. Justin is uneasy, but Ryan insists on continuing the charade, leading them into increasingly risky situations. Their fake badges draw them into a real conflict involving mobsters and dirty detectives.
