Warning: spoilers
Set in late 1967, the story follows a young orphan who goes to live with his loving grandmother in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. When they encounter deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, his grandmother wisely whisks him away to a seaside resort. Unfortunately, they arrive at the same time that the world's Grand High Witch has gathered.
