The throne of Mirzapur belongs to Akhandanand Tripathi, and Munna is expected to succeed him. Their hold on power has been challenged from different quarters. Rati Shankar Shukla is a rival from Jaunpur, while brothers Guddu and Bablu have already upended the established order in ways that cannot be undone. Another contender now enters the picture from the desert of Jaisalmer. Babban Babua is hungry for control and has little hesitation about pursuing it, adding a new threat to a struggle that was already far from settled.
