Filmed at the Beacon Theater in New York on November 30, 1989, this 1990 release captures Van Morrison performing material largely from his two most recent albums, including four songs each from Avalon Sunset and Irish Heartbeat. Longtime friends Mose Allison and John Lee Hooker appear as special guests, each performing some of their own songs, while jazz singer Georgie Fame plays Hammond organ. Some reviewers noted that Morrison was not in his best form, with his voice possibly strained by a cold.
