Peter, having come of age and unemployed, decides to go back to elementary school. His academic performance stays poor, so his grandmother uses the votes from his report card to play the football pools and wins. She spends the winnings on renovating their tavern without giving Peter any money, prompting him to lock his family in the bathrooms of the new restaurant. Despite his teachers' efforts, Peter is rejected, but then receives a visit from Camazzo, his neighbor and Head of the third class of the Navy, who delivers an envelope containing the call to arms.
