In a polluted future, humans live underground and use brain-plug chips for pleasure. Bodyguard Lori steals a case of chips and flees Los Angeles with Danner, a pleasure android, to smuggle them to New York. Criminal Plughead pursues them.

Most humans have moved underground to escape pollution, and one of the few remaining pleasures is a narcotic delivered through chips plugged directly into the brain. Lori, a female bodyguard, steals a case of these chips and escapes underground Los Angeles with Danner, a pleasure android, intending to smuggle the chips to New York. Plughead, a dangerous criminal whose scalp is covered with sockets and ports for testing and using the chips, pursues them.
