After playing hooky, Tony, a chorister at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, spends the afternoon at Central Park's Sailboat lake and retrieves a remote control left by sailboat racers. In the schoolyard, when another boy tries to take it, the control falls and a red remote-control sports car magically appears. The car dances to rap music and brings Tony a soda. A sinister man with a briefcase steals the car and flees into the subway. Tony and classmates chase him to Wall Street, but the crook escapes in a taxi. The next morning, during a church service, Tony hears a sports car, and the magical car reappears at the end of the processional.
