Prince reprises his role as The Kid for the first time since Purple Rain, and music follows him wherever he goes. The film showcases red-hot Prince tunes from the Platinum-selling Graffiti Bridge soundtrack, including Thieves in the Temple, New Power Generation, and Elephants and Flowers. Morris Day and the Time perform Release It and Shake!, and the movie also features George Clinton, Tevin Campbell, Robin Power, Mavis Staples, and other performers. Graffiti Bridge is where the movie meets the music.
